Ok, nitty gritty.
DeviantArt has changed. It has changed a lot, especially it's significance to me.
For me it was a lot of things.
I used it as an escape from reality. I posted my work and seeked approval, appraisal and constructive criticism. I built on this and improved with what I did.
I tried a lot of different styles, genres and art forms, getting to a level between poor and average for them
